Menus consist of a clickable list of content on your website. They are used to navigate to different areas of your site, such as different pages, and are set up in Appearance, Menus.

A menu may be horizontal, or vertical. The format, location and number of different menus you can have is determined by your theme.

In addition to the menu area(s) designated by your theme, you can also use a widget to insert a menu into a sidebar, header or footer. The same menu may appear more than once in different areas of your pages (such as the navigation bar and the footer), or you may have different menus linking to different content.

You can link to posts, pages, or other websites from your menu, or create a menu of your categories. See also submenu.
